The WRX Automatic Chrono Moonlight belongs to an earlier generation of RALF TECH — long before today's Electric movements, CNES collaborations and Manufacture calibres — when the imposing WRX was establishing the design language that would come to define the brand.
Today, RALF TECH officially classifies the Moonlight as N.O.S. — New Old Stock: a watch from an old collection, preserved new and unworn, representing a genuine piece of the company's history.
And only 250 examples were ever produced.
Its substantial 47.5mm black-PVD steel case surrounds an engine-turned steel dial and houses something rarely seen in today's WRX collection: a fully mechanical automatic chronograph.
Inside is the RTAC001, RALF TECH's modified automatic chronograph calibre based on the legendary Valjoux 7750 architecture. A day-and-date display adds everyday usefulness, while the enormous 5.9mm curved sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and professional diving bezel contribute to 300 metres / 990 feet of water resistance.
A hand-sewn black alligator strap gives this formidable professional instrument an unexpectedly luxurious character, with a black silicone strap also supplied.
