The new Von Doren URÆD GMT takes its inspiration from Ole Brude and the remarkable lifeboat URÆD — the vessel in which the young Norwegian crossed the North Atlantic from Ålesund to America in 1904.
This latest interpretation gives the URÆD a completely new personality. A redesigned pie-pan dial, new hands and more refined case finishing create a cleaner, more sophisticated appearance while retaining the distinctive character of the collection.
At its heart is the Swiss Sellita SW330-2 automatic GMT movement, allowing a second time zone to be followed alongside local time and providing an impressive 56-hour power reserve.
The polished and brushed 40mm stainless-steel case is protected by sapphire crystal with five layers of internal anti-reflective coating, while Swiss BGW9 Super-LumiNova® ensures excellent visibility after dark. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.
The First Edition is available in Blue or Black, with only 100 individually numbered watches produced in each colour.
