RALF TECH WRB Automatic “Slim”: The Same, Only Better

Some watches are made for extremes.

The difficult part is making them comfortable enough for everyday life.

That has always been the quiet strength of the RALF TECH WRB. It carries the seriousness of a true diving watch, the military credibility of the RALF TECH name, and the practical proportions of a watch you can wear from morning to night without thinking twice.

Now, with the new WRB Automatic “Slim”, RALF TECH has refined one of its most versatile designs without losing the character that made it successful in the first place.

The idea is simple. The same spirit. The same capability. Only better on the wrist.

From Military Tool to Everyday Diver

The WRB was first introduced in October 2019 as a watch designed for French Army divers, before becoming available to the public in February 2020.

That origin matters.

The WRB was not created as a desk-diver with military styling. It was born from a genuine operational requirement, then adapted into a civilian watch that retained the performance and reliability expected from RALF TECH.

Its 39mm case quickly became central to its appeal. Less imposing than the larger WRX and WRV models, the WRB offered something different: a RALF TECH diver with real capability, but in a more compact and elegant format.

For many collectors, that made it the most wearable watch in the RALF TECH family.

Slimmer, More Comfortable, More Versatile

For this new generation, RALF TECH has redesigned the 316L surgical-grade stainless steel case with a clear objective: to reduce thickness while preserving durability and water resistance.

That might sound like a small technical change.

On the wrist, it matters.

A slimmer profile changes how a watch wears. It slides more easily under a cuff. It feels more natural throughout the day. It moves more gracefully between roles: from a weekend dive watch, to a travel companion, to something you could wear in a more formal setting.

This is where the WRB Automatic “Slim” becomes especially interesting.

It does not abandon its tool-watch identity.

It simply becomes easier to live with.

The off-centre crown at 4 o’clock adds to this comfort, reducing pressure on the wrist and reinforcing the ergonomic thinking behind the design.

Two New Personalities: Purple Mood and Black Écume

For this new release, RALF TECH introduces two limited-edition interpretations of the WRB Automatic “Slim”: Purple Mood and Black Écume.

Purple Mood

The Purple Mood version brings warmth, light and summer energy to the WRB.

Its purple dial features a sunburst and smoked finish, creating constantly shifting reflections as the watch moves. Depending on the light, the dial changes character, moving from deep and mysterious to bright and expressive.

This is a more emotional interpretation of the WRB.

Still technical.

Still robust.

But with a contemporary dial that gives the watch a completely different personality.

Purple Mood feels like the WRB stepping out of the shadows and into the sun.

Black Écume

The Black Écume version takes the WRB back toward the sea.

Its foam-coloured matte dial evokes the white movement of waves, while the black case gives the watch a more technical and military presence. The contrast is strong, legible and highly distinctive.

This version feels closer to RALF TECH’s maritime DNA.

It speaks of open water, salt air, black equipment, naval utility and travel.

Where Purple Mood celebrates light, Black Écume celebrates the ocean.

Two watches.

Two moods.

The same WRB discipline underneath.

Still a True Diving Watch

The slimmer case has not softened the WRB’s technical purpose.

Both models remain serious diving watches, powered by the RTA003 self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of up to 40 hours.

The unidirectional 120-click rotating bezel complies with the ISO 6425 standard, allowing precise measurement of immersion time. The screw-down crown and engraved screw-down caseback help ensure water resistance of at least 200 metres.

This is important because the new WRB is not simply a style update.

It remains a RALF TECH.

A watch designed to be used, not merely admired.

The Sincrono Perspective

At Sincrono Luxury, we have always respected RALF TECH because the watches are not built around fantasy. They come from the water. From military use. From professional diving. From people who understand that a tool watch must earn its credibility before it earns its style. The new WRB Automatic “Slim” is interesting because it does not try to reinvent the model. It refines it. That is often harder.

RALF TECH has taken one of its most balanced watches and made it more wearable, more elegant and more adaptable, while preserving the technical identity that made the WRB matter in the first place.

Purple Mood brings warmth, colour and a sense of summer light.

Black Écume brings the sea, the foam, the black equipment and the quiet authority of a proper maritime tool.

Both remind us why the WRB has become such an important part of the RALF TECH collection. Because versatility is not weakness. When done properly, it is strength.

The WRB Automatic “Slim” is still a diver. Still a RALF TECH.

But now, perhaps more than ever, it is a watch you can actually live with.
