DWISS, the independent Swiss watch brand founded in 2011 by designer Rafael Simoes Miranda, is proud to introduce the Model A1, its most technically advanced timepiece to date. Launched as the brand celebrates its 14th anniversary on June 24, the Model A1 is built for collectors who value engineering, reliability, and design innovation in equal measure.
At the core of the Model A1 is the Swiss-made La Joux-Perret G100 Soigné automatic movement, delivering a 68-hour power reserve and exceptional accuracy with a Middle Rate of +7/-7 seconds per day, regulated in four positions (CH, 3H, 6H, 9H),. Adorned with Geneva stripes, perlage, and blue screws, the movement is a testament to Swiss artistry.

The Model A1 case is crafted from 316L stainless steel, with clean architectural lines and precise tolerances. Measuring 40 mm in diameter, 10.8 mm in thickness, and 45.5 mm lug to lug, the case maintains a versatile wrist presence while ensuring everyday comfort with its integrated metal bracelet. The watch is fitted with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a screw-down crown, offering 10 ATM (100 meters) of water resistance.

True to DWISS’s spirit of innovation, the dial features solid Super-LumiNova® C1 X1 BL blocks, delivering luminosity up to four times greater than standard luminous paint. The result is exceptional legibility and a striking visual identity, day or night. In a clever upgrade rarely seen in mechanical watches, even the date window is luminous, ensuring the date remains visible in the dark, improving the design.
The DWISS A1 is limited to just 500 individually numbered pieces, staying true to the brand’s philosophy of small-batch, high-detail production. A premium yet accessible collector’s piece.

Before the public launch, DWISS introduced something unique: the very first piece — serial number 001 — was a one-of-a-kind watch named “Ghost,” featuring an all-white dial, hands, and luminous blocks. This exclusive model was auctioned on the DWISS website and sold for nearly three times the standard retail price, driven by its rarity and distinctive design.
Over the past decade, DWISS has quietly earned its place as a recognized microbrand. With 27 international design awards, including the iF Design and Good Design Awards, the brand has built a reputation for pushing boundaries in time display and product design, while remaining committed to Swiss quality and small-scale craftsmanship.
The Model A1 is a culmination of that journey, a timepiece that balances technical sophistication with thoughtful design. For collectors seeking a watch that offers more than heritage for the sake of it, the A1 represents purpose, performance, and individuality.
