Global launch of the RALF TECH THE BEAST Black Amphibian!

Finally is here the much anticipated the new THE BEAST “BLACK AMPHIBIAN”, straight from the imagination of US NAVY diver Jeff Scott and the result of the partnership between Amphibian and Ralf Tech.

The term amphibian (from the Greek “amphi”: double, and “bios”: life) indicates that these animals live in both aquatic and terrestrial environments. More generally, amphibians undergo a metamorphosis from aquatic larvae to terrestrial adults. But this path is reversible, and amphibians sometimes find themselves in the water even during their adult life. Independent, amphibians learn at a very early age to adapt to any situation, enabling them to navigate between two distinct worlds. As humans, we all spent 9 months in a liquid before breathing air. In the course of our lives, we sometimes go back into the water, but always

come out again. In short, we're all amphibians.

Designed by RALF TECH and customized by Jeff Scott of DEEPSEA MGZN, the “Amphibian” series is the story of our lives... And that's the name of this new model from THE BEAST family, a veritable compendium of French technology and know-how.

But the story doesn't end there! The dial of this new BEAST features the inscription “AMPHIBIAN” accompanied by a logo designed especially for this watch: a wave with a trident, symbol of Neptune and Poseidon, mythical masters of the waters, reminding us of the origins of scuba diving and the DNA of RALF TECH.

On the caseback, the engraving of an octopus with a trident recalls the first “Amphibian” model. The octopus, although scientifically a mollusc and not an amphibian, generally lives at depths of up to 100 meters in our seas. But, incredibly

intelligent, it is also capable of rare forays out of the water. Like amphibians at birth.

Unchanged design and optimum performance.

This new THE BEAST takes up the aesthetic codes of the other THE BEAST Electric models. One of the model's most remarkable achievements is the fact that the thickness of THE BEAST has been kept to 17mm, a record given the pressure resistance offered. From conception to market launch, everything has been thought out to ensure that THE BEAST, with its reasonable dimensions (47.7mm diameter), is suitable for everyday use by professional divers and connoisseurs of fine watchmaking. We also feature the professional “Diamond Shape” rotating bezel. Unidirectional, graduated over 60 minutes, it rotates in 120 clicks, providing exceptionally accurate timekeeping.

This bezel is fitted with a matt ceramic insert, making it insensitive to scratches and rough treatment sometimes encountered in real-life underwater working conditions. Last but not least, its shape, designed in cooperation with our professional divers, ensures a perfect grip in all conditions of use. This makes it safer for divers to read dive and decompression times with precision.

At 47.7mm and 3000+ metres of water resistance, THE BEAST is not your common professional diver. Built like a tank to withstand anything and everything one throws at it, it is not for the faint-hearted.

An exclusive sealing system.

Like the other versions, the new THE BEAST Electric Black “AMPHIBIAN” features a “box bottom” with an integral “encapsulation” system. This system, inaugurated in 2019 on the WRX, is perfectly integrated into the back of THE BEAST. This innovation seals the back of the watch to the case, guaranteeing optimum water-resistance. This system also eliminates the need for a helium valve for saturation dives, which weakens the case. Only RALF TECH has the special tooling to open and close the back of this model, guaranteeing that the original water-resistance is maintained, overhaul after overhaul.

An innovative movement.

Developed in Switzerland for our company, the RTE001 movement uses a micro-hybridization system. It combines precision, reliability and energy savings. Built on the mechaquartz base of the hybrid movement equipping the first generations of WRXs, the RTE001 movement reduces the number of moving parts and simplifies quartz power supply as much as possible. It can run for up to 100,000 hours, or almost 12 years, whereas most movements offer a power reserve of 40 hours for automatics and around 2 years for traditional quartz.
