In the world of horology, some stories are written through tradition, others through training. And then there are those, like Bogdan’s, shaped by pure determination, passion, and an unwavering connection to time itself.
Bogdan’s journey began in 2016, when he arrived in England carrying not only his belongings, but a deeply rooted ambition — to own his first truly iconic watch. For him, this was not simply a purchase. It was a symbol. A milestone. A companion for a personal journey that extended far beyond watchmaking.

Drawn to heritage and craftsmanship, he set his sights on Panerai — a brand whose bold Italian identity resonated with his own Latin roots. The watch he dreamed of owning represented more than design; it embodied endurance, history, and character.
But life rarely follows a straight path.
When the opportunity finally came to acquire the Panerai he had long desired, the cost proved just out of reach. Faced with this moment, Bogdan made a decision that would define his future: rather than waiting, he would create his own path.
He began by building his own interpretation — a humble starting point that marked the beginning of something far greater.

At the same time, Bogdan undertook a remarkable personal challenge. In a display of extraordinary discipline, he completed the equivalent of a 2,650 km swim — symbolically connecting Romania to England — in an 18-metre pool over the course of three and a half years, finishing in October 2022.
This act of endurance reflects the same qualities that now define his watchmaking: patience, precision, and an almost meditative dedication to craft.
From that moment forward, Bogdan immersed himself completely in horology. Without formal training, he turned to books, study, and countless hours of hands-on experimentation. Every skill he possesses today has been self-taught, refined through persistence and curiosity.

His background as a manager in the automotive world — working with marques such as Peugeot, Citroën, and Subaru — gave him an eye for mechanics, structure, and presentation. But watchmaking became something far more personal: a way to express identity, history, and emotion.
Bogdan’s aesthetic is deeply rooted in the past. He draws inspiration from the great masters of horology — Breguet, Daniels, Tompion, Graham, Garrard — names that represent the very foundations of watchmaking excellence.
This influence is evident in every piece he creates.
His watches are not designed with modern industrial precision in mind. Instead, they embrace an old-world philosophy, where imperfection becomes character and the human hand is always present. He deliberately avoids over-reliance on highly precise modern tools, choosing instead to craft pieces that feel alive — authentic, raw, and deeply personal.
Even the finishing touches reflect this philosophy. Each certificate of authenticity is written by hand, using traditional ink and pen — a rare gesture in today’s digital world, and a testament to his commitment to craftsmanship.

No two watches are ever truly the same. Each piece carries the mark of its maker, infused with time, effort, and intention.
Bogdan is not simply assembling watches.
He is living horology — studying it, honouring it, and reinterpreting it through his own journey.
At Sincrono Luxury, we are proud to present his work — not just as timepieces, but as expressions of passion, resilience, and individuality.
These are watches for those who understand that true value lies not only in precision, but in the story behind it.
