That wonderfully unconventional idea sits at the heart of the Vesuviate Attivo-Duplex.
Within its compact 39mm square case are two completely independent automatic movements, each driving its own dial and capable of displaying a different time. Home on one side, destination on the other — no additional hand to interpret, simply two complete mechanical displays working together.
Turn the watch over and the concept becomes even more enjoyable. Two separate sapphire exhibition windows reveal the pair of gilt Peacock SL-7020 automatic movements, turning the back of the watch into almost as much of an attraction as the front.
Yet beneath the playful concept is the serious construction we expect from Vesuviate. The 316L stainless-steel case and bracelet are thermochemically hardened to approximately 1,100 HV, while a domed sapphire crystal, Swiss Super-LumiNova and 100 metres of water resistance make the Duplex genuinely practical for everyday wear and travel.
Available in Cyan Blue, Cyan Green, Pastel Blue, Rose Gold, Silver and Yellow Gold, each interpretation gives this already unusual architecture a very different personality.
