Beneath the sapphire crystal glass with a triple-layer anti-reflective coating lies a newly redesigned, multifaceted dial with sloping surfaces in blue, adding even greater depth and dimension.

Inspired by the original Mephisto, this evolution features multiple layers, tall metallic indices, and faceted alpha hands, creating a dynamic interplay of light with every wrist movement. The stainless steel-colored outer ring, finished with a refined brushed texture, integrates seamlessly with the bezel and prominently displays a 24-hour scale in red, enhancing separation, improving visibility, and establishing a clear visual connection to the matching red GMT hand.

The Mephisto III GMT features a 38mm case crafted from surgical-grade 316L stainless steel, with a 45mm lug-to-lug distance and a case thickness of 11.55mm. Polished concave edges on the case, bezel, and case back flow seamlessly into MAKINA’s first integrated bracelet design, resulting in a cohesive, sculpted aesthetic. This model showcases our most intricate case design to date, thoughtfully crafted to achieve a harmonious interplay of brushed and polished finishes—a challenge made even more demanding by the small, intricately designed surfaces of the case that must be meticulously polished by hand.

At the heart of Mephisto III GMT is the Miyota 9075 automatic movement, a reliable GMT caliber that allows for independent adjustment of the local hour hand. Visible through an exhibition case back, the movement features Côtes de Genève finishing and is customized with MAKINA’s gold electroplated rotor, adding a subtle touch of elegance to mechanical precision. Operating at a high frequency of 28,800 beats per hour (4Hz), it offers a 42-hour power reserve, along with hacking seconds for precise time setting.
