Sometimes simplicity is far more difficult to achieve than complexity.
The White Star Unigrafic traces its inspiration to a design first conceived in the late 1950s, stripping the watch back to what really matters: proportion, texture, light and the quiet pleasure of looking at something beautifully resolved.
At first glance the dial appears restrained. Look closer and it begins to reveal itself. Fine hand-executed diamond engraving creates intricate sunburst patterns, polished surfaces catch the light and White Star’s signature shooting star travels around the dial on the seconds hand. On the Stellaris and Astralis versions, darkness reveals another personality altogether as a constellation of luminous stars appears across the dial.
The 39.5mm case combines vintage elegance with distinctly contemporary details, including the unusual crown at 2 o’clock and White Star’s characteristic faceted lugs. Five interpretations give the collection very different personalities: the celestial blue Stellaris, black Astralis, British green Racing, silver and rose-gold Arctis, and warm yellow-gold Antaris.
Why buy it?
Because minimalism does not have to mean anonymity.
