RALF TECH WRV Automatic 1977 Volcano 44mm
Black, red and unmistakably seventies — the Volcano gives the WRV one of its strongest personalities.
The WRV Automatic 1977 Volcano takes RALF TECH's tonneau-shaped professional diver and adds a vivid red bezel to its restrained matte-black dial.
At 43.8mm, the satin and polished steel case has the rounded architecture inspired by the diving watches of the 1970s, when underwater exploration was still considered an activity for professionals, military divers and a determined few.
Old Radium Super-LumiNova® brings warmth to the hands and indices, while the curved sapphire crystal reinforces the vintage character without compromising modern resilience.
Inside is the RTA002 automatic movement, offering up to 44 hours of power reserve. A protected screw-down crown, 120-click professional diving bezel and 200 metres / 660 feet of water resistance ensure the Volcano remains a genuine operational watch beneath the colour.
A hand-sewn black Barenia calfskin strap is accompanied by a black silicone alternative.
Only 77 numbered pieces were produced.
Why buy it?
Because the red bezel changes everything.
It gives the WRV a more energetic, almost rebellious character while leaving the underlying watch wonderfully serious.
And with only 77 examples made, the Volcano is considerably more than simply another colour variation.
A seventies-inspired professional diver with enough fire to justify its name.
