The term amphibian (from the Greek “amphi”: double, and “bios”: life) indicates that these animals live in both aquatic and terrestrial
environments. More generally, amphibians undergo a metamorphosis from aquatic larvae to terrestrial adults. But this path is reversible, and amphibians sometimes find themselves in the water even during their adult life.
 
Independent, amphibians learn at a very early age to adapt to any situation, enabling them to navigate between two distinct worlds. As humans, we all spent 9 months in a liquid before breathing air. In the course of our lives, we sometimes go back into the water, but always come out again. In short, we're all amphibians.
Designed by RALF TECH and customized by Jeff Scott of DEEPSEA MGZN, the “Amphibian” series is the story of our lives... And that's the name of this new model from THE BEAST family, a veritable compendium of French technology and know-how. But the story doesn't end there! The dial of this new BEAST features the inscription “AMPHIBIAN” accompanied by a logo designed especially for this watch: a wave with a trident, symbol of Neptune and Poseidon, mythical masters of the waters, reminding us of the origins of scuba diving and the DNA of RALF TECH.
On the caseback, the engraving of an octopus with a trident recalls the first “Amphibian” model.
The octopus, although scientifically a mollusc and not an amphibian, generally lives at depths of up to 100 meters in our seas. But, incredibly
intelligent, it is also capable of rare forays out of the water. Like amphibians at birth.
