RALF TECH Academie Automatic Out of Range 41mm

£1,500.00Price

Some watches are defined by what they do. The Out of Range is defined by what happens when the light finds it.

At the centre of this Académie is a sunray champagne dial, its shifting golden reflections giving an otherwise restrained watch an entirely different personality. RALF TECH describes it as the most exclusive expression of the Académie collection.

The polished 41mm steel case provides the perfect frame. Applied steel indices, BGW9 Super-LumiNova® and the absence of a date keep the dial beautifully clean, while the 2.5mm glassbox sapphire adds the soft curvature that gives the Académie its distinctive mid-century character.

And beneath all that warmth remains the reassuring substance of RALF TECH.

The RTA003 automatic movement provides up to 40 hours of power reserve, while a screw-down crown and caseback deliver a genuinely useful 200 metres of water resistance. A hand-sewn black calfskin strap is accompanied by a black Tropic silicone alternative.

Only 100 pieces will be produced.

Why buy it?

Because champagne is one of those dial colours that refuses to stay the same.

In soft light it can appear restrained and almost creamy. Catch the sun and suddenly the gold begins to emerge.

That changing character is the attraction.

The Out of Range has enough elegance for an evening out, but the 200-metre water resistance means it doesn't need to be treated like jewellery.

A watch whose most interesting complication may simply be the way it plays with light.
