There are dive watches made to look adventurous. And then there are watches like **Andersmann**.

Founded by Raymond Chan, Andersmann is a specialist in serious professional divers: large, architectural, Swiss-assembled instruments built around pressure, legibility and endurance. These are not delicate watches pretending to have a relationship with the sea. They have weight, confidence and a certain brutal honesty. The brand’s philosophy is refreshingly direct: classic design, strong construction, Swiss automatic movements and real underwater capability.

Andersmann watches are assembled in Bienne, Switzerland, and use robust materials such as stainless steel, sapphire crystal, natural rubber, bronze and DLC coating, depending on the model. But the story is not only technical. The origin of Andersmann begins with memory: a dive watch given to Raymond Chan by his father, and later lost. That first object became an emotional reference point — not famous, not extravagant, but meaningful. In time, that memory became a brand. Even the name is personal: “Anders” from the founder’s son, and “Man” from Raymond Chan Wai Man.

This matters, because Andersmann does not feel like a watch brand created by a marketing department. It feels like a brand created by someone who knew exactly what kind of diver he wanted and decided to build it properly. The watches themselves are unapologetic. Oceanmaster, Deep Ocean, Bronze and Chronograph models carry the same family character: strong cases, high water resistance, Swiss automatic movements, sapphire crystals, luminous dials and limited production. Some descend to 1,000 metres. Others go further still. These are instruments built for depth, but also for collectors who appreciate independent watchmaking with a clear and stubborn identity.

At Sincrono Luxury, we are drawn to Andersmann because it offers something increasingly rare: substance without theatre. The watches are bold, certainly. Some are large, some are heavy, some are almost severe. But that is part of their charm.

They are not trying to flatter everyone. They are made for those who like professional divers to feel like professional divers — purposeful, resilient and slightly uncompromising.Andersmann is not obvious luxury. It is independent, focused and deeply committed to the oceanic instrument watch. That is why it belongs in the Sincrono selection.
